on we ping. humble vibrations of the mouth instrument which we may know as something like the OZARK HARP or JEWS HARP vibrations.

WOW the timbral changes are nice, we go from very smooth of the last track to a jagged CLIP CLOP of a horses hooves.

oh WOW the two chords we bounce between are just lovely the stringed instrument, perhaps a 12 stringed guitar, is doing an EXCELLENT job of singing its praises while the singer ....

these sounds function a lot like a rainbow.. yes we can appreciate each element but we are in awe that we get to see them all together as the most beautiful message from the world.

wow the songs just blend together its VERY difficult to tell them to stop,, this is music at a pure form JOURNEY ORIENTED not just catchy chorus material its VERY important to just open your ears and resist re-listening to a favorite song and just HEAR what happens next.

oh wow this percussion section, HOW can you say no? haha we couldnt!

1:45 and the melody is joined by some interesting synth sounds .. the vocals are washing more into the  texture

and a no idea happens, we have some LOVELY HARMONIC MOVEMENT!! i never know where we are going to land this is INCREDIBLY THOUGHTFUL And HEARTFELT.

that this THOMAS is doing to us, we like this idea. we accept our place with this idea. do you? i encourage your open ears to open up your mind to these great sounds.

some fuzzy percussive elements and we are met with that same tender whisper tone of a voice. it glosses through the pussy willows and swims atop swampy lakes. TENDER COTTAGE.

:35 and some new harmonies whisk us along with this breathe of air. WOW THE.... WOW! that a sandwich of people female harmony vocals just stopped by and CHANGED THE SONG COMPLETELY!

1:35 and we drift back and forth between urgency and understanding... WHERE... when we listen to music this vulnerable WE OURSELVES HAVE TO GIVE UP and just let it take us, try VERY HARD to not listen for whats about to happen, only what is currently happening. WOW!

you know how i feel about first songs on an album, theres something just so chronologically satisfying about just saying YES to NUMBER 1


again, we are hearing this nice warm bedroom sounding guitar. and a bit of back up from some very NATURAL PRO-CUSSION. what nice texture, like a REALLY CLEAR WINDOW this production lets us hear whats going on, no lies no lies

crazy, we are living in the age of the JETSONS but still, this naturalistic music is always finding its way to me and out of the hearts of people musicians and poets alike.

many musicians talk about SPACE and using it. i find this lyrical delivery to be FANTASTIC . more words doesnt necessarily mean more to say... ahh good music, harmonies kick for a little at around 3:16 and its just the SWEETEST KISS

I hear lots of people going out of their way to get some sort of vintage sound with lots of old machines and improved recording techniques, but the FOLKS are at the heart of FOLK , its about just making music! this is a genuine spirit recorded in our modern version of the wax cylinder

1.DRUGSTORE

i always feel the first song is such a pivotal factor in engaging the listener, DUH, so lets see what MJATW served up as a handshake!!

ok, MUTTERING bumbling and im basically imagine a FOREIGN PLACE, FOREIGN TO EVERYONE, ALL OF EARTHS PEOPLE. ITS A NEW PLACE COMPLETELY.

oh, ... oh!!

very nice rattattat is joined up like a SPAGHETTI AND A MEATBALL by voice and guitar. i admit, i have a soft spot for lo fi.

ok 1:22 and ANOTHER guitar joins in and i feel DELIGHTFUL. this is a very CELTIC sort of feel, but the LYRICAL CONTENT IS THE PICKLE IN THE PIE!!!

by that... I mean, the PIE is good, but anyone can havea pie. this DRUGSTORE song is a pickle pie, its a RARE and HONEST FLAVOUR!!

1:35 the CHOIR! persumably the WONDERFULS, join in a velvety harmony. lets take a minute to think about harmony.

a melody is alone, it is just a meandering series of notes... a harmony.. thats a melody with a whole bunch of GREAT FRIENDS looking to bring out the BEST QUALITIES of that MELODY! not trying to ALTER it or make it be something else, but just HIGHLIGHTING the TRUTH AND HONESTY of the original melody.

do you see?

we should aim to be more harmonious with the melody of our everyday friends.... hmmm...

this is a VERY nice song. listen to it again ok? WOW what a way to start an album

this is.... SERIOUSLY ... FINALLY! I FEEL UNDERSTOOD!! these lyrics.. this song is an EPIC and should be reserved only for the most important events in a nations history.

we start. a weak and frail drum pattern , drums and patterns on while a MULTI TEMPO EXPERIENCE happens when the guitar sort of joins in.

this song just really has my digits so instead of ***DETRACTING FROM IT*** im going to ***LET IT SPEAK FOR ITSELF*** and try and transcribe the lyrics so we can just enjoy this together. hold my hand , lets go.

a low rumble in the guitar.... like a small earthquake, supports BEAUTIFUL harmonied vocals again, like a beautiful sky soaring over a broken wasteland... beauty in the hideous...

as the guitars layer and the alien sounds go on....
